**Neymar Set for Imminent Return as Brazil Receive Major World Cup Boost**

Brazil have received a significant boost ahead of the **2026 FIFA World Cup**, as star forward Neymar is expected to return to training next week following his recovery from a calf injury.

According to head coach Carlo Ancelotti, the Brazilian international is progressing well and could soon rejoin the squad’s full training sessions. Neymar has been undergoing individual rehabilitation after sustaining a right calf injury in May, which initially cast doubt over his participation in the tournament.

Speaking during a press conference in New Jersey, where Brazil are currently holding their pre-World Cup training camp, Ancelotti expressed optimism about the player’s condition. He confirmed that Neymar will undergo an MRI scan, and if the results are positive, he will be cleared to resume team training in the coming days.

Brazil, five-time world champions, are preparing to kick off their World Cup campaign against Morocco on June 14. The potential return of Neymar—widely regarded as the team’s key attacking figure—comes at a crucial time for the Seleção.

The Brazilian Football Confederation also confirmed that Neymar, the nation’s all-time top scorer with 79 goals, is scheduled for further medical evaluation. The forward has not featured for the national team since late 2023 due to recurring injuries and fitness concerns.

His return would not only strengthen Brazil’s attacking options but also provide leadership and experience as the team aims for another historic World Cup triumph.
